This notice is to announce that NSN: 6650-01-490-9913 is being solicited. This is a combination synopsis/solicitation notice. The solicitation number is:
SPE7L714X0008 and is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). The solicitation is available in FedBizOps on March 25, 2014. https://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil/RFP/.
An Indefinite Purchase Order(IDPO) with one base year and 3 option years is anticipated. Estimated annual demand (ADQ) is 35 each. The ADQ represents an estimate only and is not a guaranteed amount. Multiple deliveery orders may be written against the basic contract for a maximum of four years. Solicitations will be issued as a 100% small business set aside. The delivery for this acquisition will b e FOB Origin and deliveries will be DLA direct within the continental United States. Various incremental quantities will be solicited. While price is a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, past performance and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation.

NOT BE INTENTIONALLY ADDED TO,OR COME IN DIRECT
CONTACT WITH,ANY HARDWARE OR SUPPLIES FURNISHED
UNDER THIS CONTRACT. EXCEPTION: FUNCTIONAL MERCURY
USED IN BATTERIES, FLUORESCENT LIGHTS, REQUIRED
INSTRUMENTS; SENSORS OR CONTROLS; WEAPON SYSTEMS;
AND CHEMICAL ANALYSIS REAGENTS SPECIFIED BY NAVSEA.
PORTABLE FLUORESCENT LAMPS AND PORTABLE INSTRUMENTS
CONTAINING MERCURY SHALL BE SHOCK PROOF AND CONTAIN
A SECOND BOUNDARY OF CONTAINMENT OF THE MERCURY OR
MERCURY COMPOUND. (IAW NAVSEA 5100-003D).

DEFECTS IS REQUIRED
2. ANY DEFECTIVE ITEM DISCOVERED DURING INSPECTION MAY BE CAUSE
FOR REJECTION OF THE ENTIRE CONTRACT QUANTITY.
