This action will award a purchase order, on a sole source basis, PowerStar, 9073 Shady Grove Court, Gaithersburg, MD, for the acquisition of rack mounted uninterruptible power supply units. Contracting activity is the Naval Sea Systems Command, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Panama City Division (NSWC PCD), 110 Vernon Avenue, Panama City, FL 32407-7001 (Contracts Division Code 02). The procurement is sole source for the following reasons. The UPS is required for the upgrade of equipment racks for the AN/SSQ-94 System in the fleet. These UPS units are for shipboard installation. This equipment is identical to the equipment that is currently installed in the fleet for the AN/SQQ-32(V)4 system. PowerStar is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the UPS.
