This is a notice of intent to award a sole-source purchase order and is not a request for competitive proposals. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Centers for Global Health (CGH), Division of Parasitic Diseases and Malaria Parasitic Diseases Branch (DPDM), intends to solicit and enter into a contract with Gaydos lab, John Hopkins University, Division of Infectious Disease, Medicine, 3400 North Charles Street W 400 Wyman Park Building, Baltimore, MD 21218.

The Government intends to solicit, negotiate and award to only one contractor using other than full and open competition procedures pursuant to the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). The NAICS code for this acquisition is 541990 and the small business size standard is $14,000,000.00. This requirement will be procured under the guidelines of FAR Part 37, Services. The vendor will provide Polymerase Chain Reaction Analysis of up to 4,500 Ocular Swab Specimens from Kongwa District, Tanzania.
