This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT using Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR 13.106-1(b) (1). The US Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG) Tenant Division, 6001 Combat Drive, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21005-1846; has a requirement to procure the following service:

CBC Radiation Office requires contract to provide preventive maintenance, parts, labor and phone support for an Alpha Beta Liquid Scintillation Counter (LSC). This is a non-personal services contract for a TRI-CARB 4910TR, serial # SGLO31150042. The service includes a one year base period and four option year period maintenance plan.

The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price sole source contract to PerkinElmer Health Science, Inc., 710 Bridgeport Avenue, Shelton, CT 06484-4750. PerkinElmer is the previous contract holder and due to the continued need for the maintenance and support services for the mission essential routine preventive maintenance of the TRI-CARB 4910TR, has been deemed critical.

The associated North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 811219 (Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance) and the Business Size Standard is $20.5M.

All responses received within five businesses (5) days after date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
