REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS Mount Abraham Unified School District (MAUSD) is requesting proposals from vendors to provide professional development to educators in the area of mathematics. The list in appendix A are some examples of needed services for the 2023-2024 school year.. Service proposals must be mailed or delivered to Catrina DiNapoli, Mount Abraham Unified School District, 72 Munsill Avenue, Bristol, VT 05443. Proposal Acceptance Period: The deadline for proposals is Thursday, July 27th by 4PM. Project Summary MAUSD is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to design and deliver the equivalent of 24 days of in person professional development to improve math instruction and student learning at MAUSD. Vendor selection will consider the following: price, expertise, availability, reputation, sole source, resources provided, follow up capability. Required Specifications All proposals should include the following: ? A brief summary of the vendor experience with designing and delivering professional development in mathematics ? Propose project goals and scope of the work to address goals ? Provide an anticipated timeline for the project up until June 1st, 2024. ? Include the following assurances: ? the vendor is acting as an independent contractor, and therefore, as such, is responsible for its own insurance coverage (liability, health, dental, workers compensation insurance, etc.) payroll tax matters and will not receive compensated leave time; ? if the vendor is selected for the project, the vendor can provide the following documents, if not already on file, for the district: acceptable criminal records check; proof of liability insurance; copy of current licensure and registration; and taxpayer identification number (IRS Form W-9); ? A summary of a cancellation clause which excuses one or both parties’ performance obligations when circumstances arise which are beyond the parties’ control and make performance of the contract impractical or impossible; ? A summary of a hold harmless clause indicating that the LEA and its agents or employees harmless for all liability, claims, suits, judgments, damages, and costs, including reasonable attorney’s fees, arising out of the negligent acts or omissions, theft, or intentional misconduct of the contractor and its agents, employees or subcontractors; ? A summary of insurance clause which states that the contractor maintains a comprehensive general liability insurance policy with combined single limit coverage of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 in the aggregate. The LEA shall be identified as an additional insured under the policy and the policy shall be primary to any other policies of insurance covering. The contractor shall furnish the LEA with a certificate of such insurance at the time of signing the contract; and ? A summary of conformance with law clause which states that the contractor shall abide by and conduct its affairs in accordance with the LEA’s policies and all state, federal, and local laws, rules, regulations, orders, directives, resolutions, and ordinances, including but not limited to, requirements concerning the COVID-19 pandemic and the government response or similar infectious diseases. Appendix A Support for MTSS through regular monthly meetings with math coaches, interventionists and special educators in removing barriers to math learning for all students across all tiers Support for math coaches through planning and co-facilitation of grade level PLCs Support for math coaches through observations and/or lesson study when coaching classroom teachers Meeting with district administrators to illuminate effective instructional practices during math instruction
