This is a combined synopsis/solicitation procurement action for the successful contractor to provide professional necropsies services on stranded and subsistence harvested pinnipeds (except walrus) and cetaceans, with a focus on Cook Inlet beluga whales in support of the Alaska Marine Mammal Stranding Network per the attached statement of work (SOW) in the request for quotes (RFQ) NMFS AKR-15-0717 prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 13.

The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 541940 and is a Small Business Set-Aside.

The objective of this contract is to provide professional necropsies services to address systematic evaluations on the causes of marine mammal strandings in accordance with the SOW, terms and conditions contained in the attached RFQ NMFS AKR-15-0717.
