NASA/GRC has a requirement for a Modicon Unity Programmable Logic Controller System that is a direct replacement for equipment currently being used in functional systems across NASA/GRC. Items purchased must be identical in form, function and specifications and are listed as follows: 1.) 140CPU65260 SQD Quantum Processor (10 each), 2.) BMXXBP0800 SQD 8 Slot Backplane (2 each), 3.) BMXP342020 SQD CPU340-20 MB Ethernet (2 each), 4.) BMXNOE0100 SQD Ethernet 10/100 RJ45 (2 each), 5.) BMXCPS3500 SQD HP AC Power Supply (2 each).

NASA/GRC intends to purchase the items from Crescent Electric Supply Company, 4800 Van Epps Road, Suite 103BC, Brooklyn Heights, OH 44131-1030.

The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on March 30, 2016. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
