This contract action is for the acquisition of supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1). The National Institute of Environmental Health Science (NIEHS), Office of Acquisitions (OA) intends to award a single source purchase order to Promega Corporation, 2800 Woods Hollow Road, Madison, WISCONSIN, 53711, for the acquisition of a Glomax ® Microplate Reader Discovery System.
The Glomax Microplate Reader Discovery System is needed for protein interaction analysis using NanoBit and NanoBRET protein-protein interaction system, luminescent gene reporter assays, and FRET assays.
The applicable North American industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 334516 “Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing.” Its associated Business Size Standard is $1,000.00.

NIEHS will solicit and negotiate directly with Promega Corporation and no solicitation will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or quotations; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency. Offerors must have an active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM.GOV) www.sam.gov. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
