The Proteus Multiprobe Sonde is the first and only EPA approved instrument (patent attached) capable of providing continuous Fecal coliform / E. coli monitoring. This technology will significantly improve the management of bacterial pollution in the North Fork Clover Creek (a highly urbanized waterway listed by WA State as impaired for bacteria). It is also the first and only EPA approved technology for providing continuous readings of Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD), Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), Total Organic Carbon (TOC) and Dissolved Organic Carbon (DOC). This technology will significantly improve the management of Dissolved Oxygen Deficits in Clover Creek (a highly urbanized waterway listed by WA State as impaired for Dissolved Oxygen). This technology and its funding have been approved by Ann-marie Marshall-Doty (Section Manager) and Tom Kantz (Unit Supervisor)
