The U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA), on behalf of U.S. Army Institute of Surgical Research (USAISR) is issuing a Sources Sought Notice with the Intent to Award a Sole Source contract. This is not a request for proposals. This notice does not represent a commitment by the government to pay for cost incurred in preparation and submission of data in response to this announcement.

This is a Sources Sought Notice with the intent to award a sole source contract to Becton, Dickinson, and Company, as authorized by 10 USC 2304(C)(1) and in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 6.302-1 -- Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This is a logical follow-on to work performed under contract number W81XWH-12-F-0148 with Becton, Dickinson, and Company. The contractor shall provide instrument support, maintenance, and repair services on BD FACS Canto Flow Cytometer (Serial# V07300371) to include computer workstation and FACS Loader (Serial # F31300353) by qualified field service engineers. Due to the proprietary nature of the system, the original manufacturer is the only entity that has the expertise to service the system and the only entity that has access to the acquisition and analysis software.
