THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. Reference #: N0025918N0026. Naval Medical Center San Diego intends to award a firm fixed price sole source contract under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), only one responsible source, to: Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics, Inc. 100 Indigo Creek Drive, Rochester, New York14626-5101. The objective of this sole source award is for a preventive maintenance contract for the PROVUE system used by the blood bank division.
Salient Characteristics must include:
1. Provide preventive maintenance by an Ortho Clinical Diagnostics service technician to maintain functionality to the equipment.
2. Preventive maintenance will cover any issues with instrumentation.
3. Immediate replacement of parts must be covered by the contractor for the duration of the contract.

Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics, Inc. is the manufacturer of the product and the software is proprietary. The NAICS code for this requirement is 811219; the small business size standard is $20.5 million. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. All information received by 06:00 AM Pacific Time on November 20, 2017 may be considered by the Government.
