Psion Teklogix is the only source that can provide these services to the current system operating in our DDC Depots. This current system is from Psion Teklogix and is a standard across DDC depots. No other vendors are authorized by Psion Teklogix to provide the items pertinent to this requirement. Any attempt to develop an alternate source to provide this service, if possible, would result in a substantial cost to the Government. Accordingly, the Government intends to award a sole source, firm fixed price purchase order (FFP) utilizing FAR Part 13 to Psion Teklogix for the 7535 handheld battery.
Interested contractors may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
The required delivery of this procurement is 45 days from the date of award.
The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort is 334112 with an employee standard of 1000.

If no affirmative responses are received by 3:00 PM EDT, Friday March 4, 2011 to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, a purchase order will be negotiated and awarded to Psion Teklogix.
