Psion Teklogix is the only source that can provide these services to the current system operating in our DDC Depots. This current system is from Psion Teklogix and is a standard across DDC depots. No other vendors are authorized by Psion Teklogix to provide the items pertinent to this requirement. Psion Teklogix will provide the software upgrade services. Any attempt to develop an alternate source to provide this service, if possible, would result in a substantial cost to the Government. Accordingly, the Government intends to award a sole source, firm fixed price purchase order (FFP) utilizing FAR Part 13 to Psion Teklogix for Systems Upgrade.
Interested contractors may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
The delivery of this procurement is required 90 days after contract award.
The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort is 541511 with a small business dollar standard of $25,000,000.00.
All responsible sources may respond by submitting qualifications/capabilities of the company to provide the 9160 Firmware Upgrade by 3:00 PM EDT, Wednesday April 13, 2011 to Joshua Bell, Acquisition Operations, DDC J7-AB, J Avenue, Bldg 404, New Cumberland, PA 17070, Phone: 717-770-6081, FAX: 717-770-7591, or e-mail: [email protected] for consideration by the agency. If no affirmative responses are received by 3:00 PM EDT, Wednesday April 13, 2011 to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, a purchase order will be negotiated and awarded to Psion Teklogix.
