Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the City of Fife at City Hall up to the hour of 10:00 a.m. PDT on March 21, 2024, for the Pump Stations Nos. 12 & 13 Improvements project and will then be opened and publicly read. Fife City Hall is located at 5411 23rd Street East, Fife, Washington. Proposals received after 10:00 a.m. PDT, on March 21, 2024, will not be considered. The work involved in the Pump Stations Nos. 12 & 13 Improvements Project includes installation and testing/commissioning of Owner-purchased generators, transfer switches, and appurtenances at both pump stations; installation and testing/commissioning of Owner-purchased aeration units at each pump station; piping and appurtenances for the aeration units at each pump station; bypass pumping at Pump Station No. 12 for installation of new coatings for both the wet well concrete and wet well piping as well as the installation of a new electrical seal-off panel; electrical equipment and control equipment; and accessories and modifications associated with the Work. This description is not intended to be complete. The work to be completed is provided for in the Contract Documents. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on-site on March 14, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. starting at Pump Station No. 12. Located at 5600 Radiance Blvd., Fife, WA 98424. Free-of-charge access to project bid documents (plans, specifications, addenda, and Bidders List) is provided to Prime Bidders, Subcontractors, and Vendors by going to Builders Exchange at www.bxwa.com. All bids shall be submitted on the prescribed Bid Forms and in the manner as stated in this advertisement and in the Bid Document and said bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the form of cash, cashier’s check, certified check, postal money order, or a surety bond to the City of Fife in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. Bids submitted on other than the bond form provided by the City may be subject to rejection. Faxed bids and/or surety bond will not be accepted. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope with the outside clearly marked “sealed bid” with the bid opening date and time, and the project name as it appears in this advertisement and the name and address of the bidder. Bids shall be addressed to the City Clerk, City of Fife, 5411 23rd Street, Fife, WA 98424. The City of Fife reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities in the bid or in the bidding. The Engineer’s opinion of probable construction cost is $450,000 to $500,000.
