Purchase of 21 Fresenius 2008T dialysis units for the treatment of chronic renal patients. The dialysis unit pumps blood from the patient’s body through the blood lines to the dialyzer (artificial kidney or filter. This is an economically feasible request to continue the partnership of Renal Dialysis equipment and support estabished in 2010 when 21 K/K2 patented dialysis units were acquired. The replacement with the Fresenius 2008T dialysis units due to budget constraints, will be made via purchase of seven (7) units annually over a three year term. The University has determined that this purchase is only economically available from this source because the item or service is copyrighted or patented and is not available except from the holder of the copyright or patent.
