Under the authority of FAR 6.302 1, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) intends to award a firm-fixed price sole source purchase order to Simulia for the purchase of 10 Abaqus/Standard 6.8-EF and 10 Abaqus/Explicit 6.8-EF one year licenses along with one Abaqus 6.8-1 Self Installation Kit. This notice is prepared under the authority of FAR Part 13 – Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This notice is not a request for quotation. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement based on response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. In doing so, interested sources must submit technical capabilities and any other information that demonstrates their ability to meet NRC’s needs. Detailed capabilities must be submitted to Sharon Lim via email at [email protected] no later than 4:00 PM, DC local time, on January 30, 2009. No request for quotation document is available and telephonic requests will not be honored. Responses providing insufficient information for evaluation will not be considered. No contractual document will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice.
