The Government intends to purchase Perfinity Workstation Tryspin Columns needed by the Clinical Chemistry Branch (CCB).

Perfinity Biosciences trypsin columns are designed and optimized specifically to accommodate our existing Perfinity on-line digestion and LC-MS/MS systems. These systems provide fast online tryptic digestion of lipid samples in our Apolipoprotein quantitation method. The Perfinity Tryspin Columns are specifically designed to work on-line with our analytical column to provide a fast tryspin digestion and a continuous sample analysis. The Perfinity digestion buffer is optimized to work with the Perfinity Tryspin columns for a highly efficient digestion while providing higher peptide recovery. The Perfinity Tryspin Columns are capable of a fast sample tryspin digest at 50 degrees Celsius while functioning optimally during analysis of an average of 2000 injections per week. Other products cannot provide the integrated and continuous sample analysis and throughput that our lipids method requires to accomplish our organized workflow of sample analysis. To assure the continuity of the Clinical Chemistry Branch's (CCB) lipids program and to continue with our sample analysis and throughput, it is essential to keep our process stable by acquiring the same Perfinigy Tryspin Columns and Perfinity Tryspin Buffers currently used in the CCB's fully validated methods.

Only Perfinity Biosciences makes the trypsin column requested in the formats and materials that will be stable up-to 50 C-degree temperature and high pressure to be compatible with the fully automated on-line system. The long term ruggedness of our lipoprotein measurement method rely on the stable quality of the trypsin columns and buffers. Materials from other vendors would potentially disrupt the continuous operation and cause delay in achieving CDC goals.

Perfinity Biosciences Incorporated is the only source available to provide this service that meets mission critical requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for proposal.
