Please note that this is NOT a request for quotes or proposals, the Government is seeking information for market research purposes only. The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA James J. Peters VA medical center is currently conducting a market survey for qualified firms capable of providing "Rheumatoid Arthritis Disease Activity Testing for Northport VA Medical Center)" The vendor will be responsible for, but not limited to: Rheumatoid Arthritis Disease Activity Testing shall have the ability to assess rheumatoid arthritis disease in Veterans thereby enabling the provider to treat the veteran suffering from RA disease. Ideally the test will be a multi-biomarker blood test for rheumatoid arthritis disease activity identifying at least 12 serum proteins. This contract will be an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. This test will give providers a disease activity score to assess rheumatoid arthritis disease in veterans thereby enabling the provider to treat the veteran suffering from RA. We require the measurement of at least 12 serum proteins. Test results are intended to aid in the assessment of disease activity in Rheumatoid Arthritis patients when used in conjunction with standard clinical assessment. SCOPE OF WORK To acquire a contract for the detection of at least 12 serum proteins to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of our Veteran patients, blood samples will be sent from the Northport VA Medical Center, Pathology & Laboratory Medicine Service to the testing laboratory. OBJECTIVES To provide a minimum of 12 serum protein disease activity test to assess rheumatoid arthritis disease in veterans thereby enabling the provider to treat the veteran suffering from RA. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE Base plus 4 option years. The Projected Quantity is estimated to be 15 tests per month, estimated to be 180 tests per year. REQUIREMENTS The contractor shall provide specimen collection kits: 1. Required collection tube with biohazard bag 2. Coolant packs, if required during transport 3. Specimen mailer 4. Final test result report via secure fax to the Northport VA Medical Center Tasks The contractor shall conduct the following tasks: 1. Provide collection kits. 2.
