This is a pre-solicitation/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only pre-solicitation notice; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will be issued. Solicitation number VA246-17-R-0310 is issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP) on an unrestricted full an open competitive basis. The government anticipates award of a Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract resulting from this solicitation. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-71. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 621492 with a small business size standard of $38.5 million.
The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) Salisbury North Carolina has a need for Inpatient Dialysis Services. The contractor shall provide continuous 7 days a week, 24 hours per day on call coverage for hemodialysis services at the bedside of acutely ill patients in the W.G. Bill Hefner Salisbury VA Medical Center. The contractor shall provide equipment and properly trained, fully certified and non-physician personnel, who may include but not limited to North Carolina state Licensed Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses and dialysis technicians Monday through Sunday. Contract period will be April 1, 2017 through March 31, 2017 with four (4) one year renewable option years. The procurement will be conducted utilizing the commercial item procedure of FAR 12 in conjunction with FAR 15. No hard copy solicitations will be provided.
