Contractor to provide Board Certified Cardiovascular Perfusionist at the VA San Diego Healthcare System located at 3350 La Jolla Drive, San Diego, CA 92161, on an as required basis. Respond time is within a 4 hour period after notification. Perfusionist shall be well versed by virtue of training and experience in all aspects of clinical perfusion. This includes experience utilizing standard cardiopulmonary bypass equipment (preferably Sarns equipment which is currently utilized at this facility), standard membrane and non-membrane oxgenerator systems, blood and red cell salvaging equipment, pulsatile preservation routines, intra-aortic balloon pumps and clinical experience in other forms of assisted circulation.
