The Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, intends to solicit and negotiate a short term contract with the Genetics of Memphis for the purchase of Cytogenetic Laboratory services for the patients at the Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital (VAH), Hines, Illinois. A competitive procurement for a long term contract will be in the near future. The authority for this sole source contract is FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. Genetics of Memphis is the only response source that may meet the urgent needs of the facility, is able to maintain the requirement and ensure the continuity of services. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) number is 621511. This notice is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Parties may identify their interest, accompanied by supporting literature to the Contracting Officer no later February 07, 2014 at 3:00pm CST. Supporting literature should include the following information: 1. Turnaround times for the pickup and processing of clinical specimens. 2. Testing capabilities 3. DUNS Number and SAM Registration 4.
