Source Sought STATEMENT OF WORK Gastroenterology The G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center is seeking a full time physician or locum tenens who is board certified/board eligible in Gastroenterology (Internal Medicine) to work in the Gastroenterology Section of Medical Service. The individual should be able to perform procedures, including, EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP and/or Endoscopic Ultrasound. Candidates with outstanding diagnostic therapeutic skills and who are academically inclined to interact with house staff and other healthcare professionals are preferred. The candidate may also be assigned to see patients for outpatient Gastroenterology clinic and follow up related activities such as dictation, returning telephone calls, reviewing and renewing prescriptions, reviewing laboratory and imaging data for both inpatient/outpatient and endoscopy clinics. The candidate will also be required to supervise Gastroenterology Fellows in the lab and outpatient clinics, NPs in the outpatient clinics and will be responsible for inpatient and outpatient consultations. Normal Work Hours: Monday-Friday 8am - 4:30pm *Night/weekend call will be required. *Would not be required to work normal work hours on Federal holidays (could be on call). *Work site - G.V.
