The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 20, in accordance with FAR 13.106-1 intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with incumbent NW Monitoring LLC for the following services: Intraoperative Neuromonitoring (IONM) Services: electrophysiological (EP) monitoring of patients undergoing spinal surgery at the Seattle Division of the VA Puget Sound Health Care System. EP Monitoring includes standard lower and upper limb somatosensory evoked potential (SSEP), motor evoked potential (MEP), electromyography (EMG), and brainstem evoked potential (BSEP) for medically indicated neurosurgical cases such as cervical and lumbar spinal stenosis, cervical myelopathy, and cervical and lumbar disc herniations assoceiated with radiculopathy. The contractor will provide credentialed Neurophysiologists to provide real-time electro-diagnostic monitoring and interpretation for patients undergoing spinal surgery at the SVAMC. This monitoring service will begin when the administration of anesthesia commences and continues until the end of the case. On-Call services are being requested within this contract.
This sole source contract will prevent a break in service while a new contract finishes the solicitation process. This notice of intent is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered. A determination not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that the responding company can handle : Intraoperative Neuromonitoring (IONM) Services as listed above beginning on 4/1/2017; can adhere to the standards in VA regulations and policy and services can be performed on site at the VA in Seattle Washington.
