The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 17 Network Contracting Activity intends on negotiating a contract on behalf of the North Texas Veterans Health Care System - Bonham VA Outpatient Clinic with the City of Bonham Texas, Bonham Fire Department, 301 E. 5th Street, Bonham, Texas, 75418-4093. The contract is to provide routine and emergency/urgent transportation of eligible patients from the Sam Rayburn Memorial Veterans Center to the appropriate facilities (as ordered by the attending physician or health care practitioner as the designee for the eligible patient's care) from the Sam Rayburn Memorial Veterans Center to appropriate facilities for continued or additional extensive care. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. All FAR provisions and clauses may be reviewed and or obtained at www.farnet.gov. The Government believes that only one responsible source can provide the supplies/services that will satisfy the agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any qualified vendor that determines it can meet the government's requirements may give written notification through e-mail to Contracting Officer, [email protected], by September 19, 2011, 4:00 PM CST. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with requirements at no cost or obligation to the government, however the information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If no responses are received, the VISN 17 Network Contracting Activity, on behalf of the North Texas Veterans Health Care System, Dallas, Texas will proceed to sole source this requirement to the City of Bonham Texas.
