The Social Security Administration (SSA), Atlanta Region, plans to issue a Request For Proposals (RFP) solicitation to acquire Medical Consultant (MC) Services in the specialty of Pediatrician(1). This requirement is a 100 percent small business set-aside. The NAICS code is 621111. The Size Standard is $8.5 million. Proposals received from other than small business concerns will not be accepted. The services will be performed at SSA’s Southeastern Program Service Center located at 2001 12th Avenue North; Birmingham, AL. The contractor’s responsibilities will include: providing oral and/or written consultations resulting from reviews of SSA disability case files; consulting with SSA’s medical policy staff related to the development of SSA disability policies; training other MC contractors and other personnel; working with Government and non-government agencies and/or medical or non-medical personnel that have related interests in providing input regarding SSA programs and its objectives. There will be no contact with patients. The period of performance shall be one year or date of award with provisions for four 1-year renewable option periods.
