This is a sources sought announcement only. This is not a solicitation announcement. The purpose of this Sources Sought Announcement is for market research purposes and to gain knowledge of potential qualified small business sources interested and capable of performing the work. The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 22 is seeking sources for establishing a contract for the services of a Board Certified Cardiovascular Perfusionist. Services are to be performed at the VA San Diego Healthcare System, located at 3350 La Jolla Village Drive, San Diego, CA 92161. Perfusionist must be available twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week, including all national holidays. Perfusionist must be on-site to set up heart lung machine within one (1) hour of notification of need for services. It is the VA's intention to solicit proposals on a competitive basis for an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity, Firm-Fixed Price contract. Proposed prices shall be all inclusive of professional fees, malpractice insurance, benefits and contractor's fees. The contract will be awarded as a base year (one year from date of award), with four (4) one-year renewal options that can be exercised at the option of the Government. This solicitation will be issued as a commercial item in accordance with FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 15. Applicable NAICS Code is 561320.
