STATEMENT OF WORK As a member of the Cardiac Arrest Team intubate, oxygenate and ventilate patient. Have current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. Initiate, monitor and discontinue mechanical ventilation based on physician orders or approved protocols, with record placed in CPRS (computerized medical records). Utilizing small volume nebulizers, administer bronchodilators as rescue or routine medication based on physicians order or approved protocol, with record placed in BCMA (bar code medication administration program). Initiate, monitor and discontinue oxygen and aerosol therapy based on physicians order or plan of care. Perform arterial blood gas punctures and run samples on point-of-care testing equipment, placing results into computer/lab system. Provide secretion management services for patients with artificial airways Provide intra and inter-hospital transport service for patients utilizing mechanical ventilatory support.
