Subject: Rubidium Generator
Description:
The Dayton VA Medical Center contracting office is seeking potential sources for the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center, Nuclear Medicine Service, 10701 East Boulevard, Cleveland, OH 44106 to provide one Rubidium generator on the second and fourth Thursday of each month with the possibility to negotiate additional days of delivery depending on the results of our study.
The following delivery requirements will apply:
1. Contractor shall provide routine delivery of generator before 7:00 am on the second and fourth Thursday of each month.
2. Delivery of the generator will be made to room N08 in the basement at the Wade Park location (Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center, Nuclear Medicine Service, 10701 East Boulevard, Cleveland, OH 44106) prior to 7:00 am on the second and fourth Thursday of each month. During non-business hours (outside the hours of 7:00 am and 4:30 pm and on Federal holidays), deliveries should be made through VA Police Service and the driver will be escorted to Nuclear Medicine.
3. No deliveries of Rubidium generators except by the courier of the supplier.
4. All couriers must wear picture ID that is clearly visible while making deliveries of the generator.
5. The generator must be labeled properly as radioactive material.
6. A packing slip must accompany the generator.
The anticipated delivery start date is October 2011. The contractor must be licensed by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and be regularly established in the business of providing radiopharmaceuticals. Additionally, the contractor shall meet the Department of Transportation, HHPP, FDA, OSHA, and all other agency rules and regulation (Federal and State); the contractor shall abide by the Title Code of Federal Regulation (CFR 10). The anticipated period of performance for this contract is 12 months.
The proposed North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 325412, Radiopharmaceuticals, and size standard is 750 employees. Interested vendors should identify if they are a small business or small disadvantaged business concern, based on this NAICS code.
Please submit expressions of interest in your own format to include documentation of capabilities in sufficient detail for the Government to determine that your company possesses the necessary expertise and experience to compete for this acquisition. Since this is a "sources sought" announcement, this synopsis is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government and no contract will be rewarded from this announcement. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement.
