Subject: Sources Sought Notice Tai Chi Instructor This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation/commitment by the Government at this time. This notice is intended strictly for market research purposes. The Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) NCO 12, on behalf of the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center, 820 South Damen Avenue, Chicago, IL 60612-3728, is seeking certified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) and Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) for a Tai Chi Instructor with a minimum of five (5) years experience. The purpose of this notice is to determine interest and capability of potential SDVOSB and VOSB contractors that are able to provide this service to Veterans for two (2) times a week for a total of two (2) hours per week in group sessions on a one-year contract at the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center. Services shall be provided by a Tai Chi Instructor who has a minimum of five (5) years experience as a Tai Chi Instructor. The scheduled hours would be Tuesdays from 1:00pm through 2:00pm and Fridays from 1:00pm through 2:00pm (excluding federal holidays). Interested Large Businesses and Small Businesses, including Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) and Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) are required to submit a capability statement that includes: resume/CV, proof of professional/liability insurance and proof of verification in Vendor Information Pages (VIP). The relative North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 611620 (Sports and Recreation Instruction) with a size standard of $7.5 million. Information received will be considered solely for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a VOSB set-aside or to proceed with competitive procurement. This is not a Request for Quote or an announcement of a solicitation and no solicitation package exists at this time. Your responses will be used solely for market research purposes of the Government. The Government will not pay for any services provided in response to this notice and submissions will not be returned to the sender. VOSBs and SDVOSBs are required to be registered and verified in VIP for consideration. If a firm believes it can provide these services, please provide written notification specifying the type of certified instruction to the Contracting officer. Any responses to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that full and open competition would be advantageous to the Government. In accordance with FAR 15.201 (e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract.
