The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of all qualified sources to perform a potential requirement. Purpose and Objectives: Your responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method. NAICS code: 541380 and size standard is $15M. NOTE: Respondent claiming SDVOSB and VOSB status must be registered and CVE verified in VetBiz Registry www.vetbiz.gov. Project requirements: This requirement is for ThyroSeq Thyroid Fine Needle Aspirations and other specialty testing at the VAMC Memphis. This requirement addresses those patients who have had a thyroid biopsy and tissue needs to be sent for further testing to determine if the patient has cancer. These patients are poor candidates for surgery due to multiple comorbidities. The initial cytology results were indeterminate. In order to determine if the thyroid has a malignancy, there is a test called Thyroseq that measures the expression of 167 genes. This test is a genetic classifier and it is the only one of its kind currently available in the U.S. Turnaround Time: Testing will be performed within the published turnaround times established by contractor s Laboratory Test Directory. Contractor shall consistently meet its published turnaround times and closely monitor its ability to meet published turnaround times as an indirect measure of testing capacity. As testing demand warrants, vendor may initiate additional runs, hire additional employees, and/or purchase additional equipment to meet the needs of new, guaranteed, or anticipated business. Anticipated period of performance: 01 April through 30 September 2020.
