Contractor shall provide qualified intraoperative neuromonitoring (IONM) services and instrumentation for the beneficiaries of the Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center. Neurophysiologic monitoring is the use of electrophysiological methods such as electroencephalography (EEG), electromyography (EMG), and evoked potentials to monitor the functional integrity of certain neural structures (e.g., nerves, spinal cord and parts of the brain) during surgery. The purpose of IONM is to reduce the risk to the patient of iatrogenic damage to the nervous system, and/or to provide functional guidance to the surgeon and anesthesiologist. PLACE OF PERFORMANCE: The Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center located at 1700 N. Wheeling Street, Aurora, Colorado, 80045. This requirement is estimated for 60 cases per period of performance. Board Certification /Eligibility: Technicians must be board eligible/certified through the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists. Proof of certification and continuing education will be provided upon request.
