This real-time PCR testing for the detection of organisms associated with genital discharges, using CDC's Lab Branch in-house developed diagnostic assays.
The Q-6 plrex has a flexable detection platform to allow up to 6 pathogen detection simultaneously which most other realtime PCR machines are not yet capable of. The machine is very reliable and the software is quite sophisticated based on the years of experience using their first generation of real-time machines. In order for CDC to transfer in-house developed diagnostic technology to supporting labs in GAP countries, identical instrument used by both will definitely minnimize problems in trouble shooting and quality control issues.
It is the understanding of the Government that an award to any other source would cause unacceptable delays in meeting the requirements of the Government. Interested parties who feel that they possess the capabilities to provide the services described above should submit a capability statement demonstrating their abilities to provide the services. The information received in response to this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive requirement.
