The purpose of this acquisition is to procure services to perform analysis assays of the Quantitative Hormone Progesterone and/or Estrogen Testing on Macaque specimens including wet feces that will be provided and provide quantitative data for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), CCID, NCHHSTP, Division of HIV/AIDS Prevention, Laboratory Branch.

The Vendor shall perform macaque hormone testing assays to determine progesterone and/or estrogen levels in Macaque specimens including wet feces. The macaque specimens will be sent in batches during 12 month performance period. Note that these macaque samples may be infected with SHIV and/or monkey Herpes B Virus.

The Vendor shall conduct macaque quantitative progesterone and/or estrogen analysis assays within 2 weeks or less upon receiving each batch of macaque specimens including wet feces provided by CDC.

The vendor shall provide written report containing data/results within 3 weeks or less of receiving each batch of macaque specimens including wet feces.

It is the understanding of the Government that an award to any other source would cause unacceptable delays in meeting the requirements of the Government. Interested parties who feel that they possess the capabilities to provide the services described above should submit a capability statement demonstrating their abilities to provide the services. The information received in response to this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive requirement.
