CADCA is the only national association of community anti-drug coalitions in the country and is uniquely qualified in its preeminent position to carry out this important Forum, designed principally for community anti-drug coalitions, held annually with great success and attendance in Washington, D.C.This serves to clarify the nature of CSAP=s involvement with the Community Anti Drug Coalitions of America (CADCA) Annual Forum to be held January 20-23, 2004. The CADCA interactive, workshop-oriented Forum is held every year to bring together the nation's community anti-drug coalitions, State leaders, Federal representatives and experts throughout the country in the field of substance abuse prevention. This year's theme is "Local Actions: A World of Results.@ It is designed to exchange knowledge and information about what is working in substance abuse prevention, to share lessons learned about the importance of community mobilization and activism and the application of science-based programs in bringing down the rates of underage drug and alcohol use. The proceedings and other data derived from the Forum offer valuable, practical tools to help guide SAMHSA policies, programs and dissemination efforts with respect to community drug abuse prevention. CSAP has been a proud co-sponsor of this interactive Forum for many years.
