The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) seeks to develop a set of implementation guides that use the Health Level Seven (HL7) Clinical Document Architecture (CDA) standard for reporting healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) from healthcare facilities that use vendor infection control surveillance applications to CDC?s National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN). The Clinical Document Architecture for reporting HAIs will allow healthcare facilities that use vendor infection control surveillance applications to participate in NHSN. This approach uses an industry standard format for exchange of healthcare data to enable wider participation in a Government-sponsored, national-level HAI surveillance program. As a result, NHSN?s healthcare facility coverage will be expanded through a standards-based, public-private partnership that capitalizes on advances in informatics and information technology. Award of a Firm-Fixed Price Purchase Order in accordance with FAR Part 13 is contemplated. The period of performance and delivery schedule shall be proposed by the quoter. CDC will consider all responsible sources responding to this RFQ. All questions/concerns about the RFQ shall be submitted via e-mail to [email protected]. The RFQ document will be available and posted at this site for downloading. No telephone requests of the solicitation will be accepted. No hard copy of the RFQ will be mailed. It is your responsibility to keep up with additional postings regarding the RFP on the Fedbizopps website.
