This publication serves as a notice of intent to solicit and negotiate a sole-source, firm fixed-price contract under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, with the University of California, Santa Cruz, for NOAA's Southwest Fisheries Science Center (SWFSC). SWFSC has a requirement to collect genetic data for chinook salmon populations through the Sacramento, Delta/East Side and San Joaquin regions of California's central valley. The period of performance is from date of contract award through one year with two (2) additional option years. The NAICS code is 541710. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. This notice represents the only official notice of such solicitation. See Numbered Note 22.
