The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) anticipates the award of a contract for four years and three months to implement the Democracy and Governance (DG) Program of USAID/Guyana. The DG Program focuses on three outcomes or intermediate results: IR 1 - Increasing Citizen Participation in Policy Making; IR 2 - Improving Transparency and Accountability in Governance; and IR 3 - Reducing Vulnerability to Ethnic and Political Conflict, all of which are essential to the consolidation of democracy in Guyana.
