Interested contractors who may be able to perform the services described below are requested to submit a Capability Statement to the Contracting Officer. The Capability Statement does not need to include company information or pricing; it is simply a statement of the vendor's ability to provide laundry / linen services to the James E VanZandt VA Medical Center.
The purpose of this sources sought notice is to determine the appropriate set-aside category for this procurement.

DESCRIPTION: The James E VanZandt VA Medical Center (JEVZ VAMC) has a requirement for contractor owned / contractor operated bulk laundry / linen services. Contractor shall furnish all labor, tools, materials, equipment, supervision, management, permits, licenses, supplies, bulk delivery carts, transportation, and facilities necessary to perform contractor owned/contractor operated bulk laundry/linen services and tasks required under this contract for the Department of Veterans Affairs. Services shall include pick-up and delivery of items by contractor personnel. Contractor shall provide an assortment of hospital linens to maintain adequate inventory to continue medical center operations for the period of the contract.
The James E VanZandt VA Medical Center is required to provide 24-7 support operations essential to patient care. Contractor services shall be performed accordingly to support the medical center operations.
All laundry services shall be performed at the contractor's facility, with delivery and pick-up to and from the James E VanZandt VA Medical Center located at 2907 Pleasant Valley Blvd, Altoona, PA 16602.
Contractor Experience. The Contractor shall have 3 years experience in providing hospital laundry/linen services. The firm must have gained this experience as a result of being primarily engaged, in the business of providing laundry/linen services in health care/patient care environments (e.g. inpatient and outpatient medical treatment facilities), for a minimum of three consecutive years prior to submitting a proposal.
