This is a synopsis of the Pre-Solicitation Notice for a commercial service. This announcement constitutes the synopsis only. The upcoming solicitation will be issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) for commerical items under the Federal Acquistion Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquistion for Commercail Items. A written solicitation will be available on this website on or about 5 July 2007. This procurement is a 100% set aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses with relevant experience in Librarian Services. This solicitation document, which will be available on this website, will incorporate provisions and clauses that are in effect through the Federal Acquisition Regulation. The Government intend to award a Firm- Fixed Price contract using Performance Price Tradeoff Procedures. The NAICS Code for this project is 519120 with a size standard of $6.5 million dollars. The resultant contract is to provide Librarian services to SOCOM HQ at Macdill AFB, Florida. The contractor shall provide the following: LIBRARIAN TO OVERSEE AND OPERATE THE DAY TO DAY FUNCTIONS OF THE USSOCOM LIBRARY IAW THE ATTACHED PWS. The Basic Year- Period of Performance is 01 Oct 2007- 30 Sep 2008, plus four (4) one year option periods (1 Oct through 30 Sep). All interested parties must be registered with the Central Contracting Registration (CCR) as prescribed in DFAR 252.204-7004. CCR can be obtained by accessing the Internet at hhtp://www.ecr.gov or by calling 1-888-227-2423. CCR MUST be obtained before award can be made.
