The Federal Correctional Complex, Beaumont, Texas intends to make a single award to an individual meeting the requirements of a recognized and endorsed Muslim Imam. The contractor will be required to provide leadership in worship services, pastoral counseling, and religious education to inmates of the Islamic faith tradition. The individual will organize special services on holy days, provide scripture lessons, programs and instruct inmates in the Arabic scriptures. The contractor must be recognized in the community as a Muslim Imam. Additional formal education in religion will be considered. The contractor must be endorsed by his appropriate religious body. He must be fluent in both Arabic and English.
