It is the intention of the Government to award a sole source procurement to Signal Technology Corp. DBA Advanced Integrated Systems Division, 1820 Preston Park Blvd., Suite 2800, Plano, TX 75093. This sole source procurement is for Phase II of the Networked Microsensor Test Bed program. In phase I of the program, an architecture was developed and initial system design was completed. In phase II of the program the design will be finalized, hardware will be fabricated, software developed, the system will be integrated, and hardware in the loop simulations will be conducted to establish baseline functionality. Typically when wireless sensor networks are developed the developer creates a test bed to aid in creation of networking software and conducting initial system testing. Rather than creating test beds for each development effort the Networked Microsensor Test Bed, which will individually be located at University of Texas, Dallas (UTD), will serve as a national asset available to military and commercial developers of wireless sensor networks. The contractor has used private funds to augment the development effort leading to proprietary Intellectual Property (IP). The anticipated period of performance is 14 months after date of award.
