Notice of intent to negotiate a sole source contract withWildlife Conservation Society (WCS) for the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS). Purpose of proposed contract is to monitor and protect key leatherback turtle nesting beaches on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica. Contractor will monitor and affix PIT tags to nesting female turtles and conduct periodic ground surveys to identify new nesting sites. WCS is the only source with permits and contacts in this area of Costa Rica. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $100,000.
