The U.S. Department of State proposes to increase the ceiling amount from $20,000,000 to $100,000,000 per year for the base period and additional option periods of Contracts S-LMAQM-03-C-0033 with Pacific Architects and Engineers and S-LMAQM-04-C-0034 to DynCorp International. The subject contracts were awarded on May 27, 2003 and will expire on May 26, 2005 (May 26, 2008 if all options are exercised). These contracts provide services in support of Peacekeeping, Capacity Enhancement and Surveillance Efforts within the Continent of Africa. The services to be provided include logistics, transportation of personnel, training of host country personnel, supply and establishment of field operations/services, maintenance, communications and any other related service necessary to meet the Department’s needs as well as administration and coordination of the various disciplines involved. The need to have these ceiling amounts increased is due to unforeseen urgent requirements not originally anticipated at the time of contract award.
