The Office of the Federal Detention Trustee (OFDT) on behalf of the United States Marshall Service (USMS), is conducting a Sources Sought synopsis for information purposes only. This is not a solicitation announcement. Currently, no solicitation is available. USMS, ICE, and OFDT have determined an anticipated growth of 2,500 to 3,000 prisoners within the next 5 to 8 months in the area of Tucson, Arizona. We project this growth to last a minimum of 24 months. The growth would be misdemeanor cases being housed for 30-60 days, which would not require ?high? security.
The purpose of this request for information is to gain knowledge of potential qualified commercial or government sources that would be able to provide bed space to fulfill this requirement. Responses to this sources sought synopsis will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions.
After review of the responses to this sources sought synopsis, and if the Government still plans to proceed with the acquisition, a solicitation announcement will be publicized in the FedBizOpps. All interested offerors will be required to respond to the solicitation announcement in addition to responding to this sources sought synopsis. It is the potential offeror's responsibility to monitor this site for the release of any solicitation or synopsis.
OFDT is in search of existing or planned secured detention facility located in Arizona, New Mexico, or Southern California. The requirement will include secure transportation services to and from the Tucson, Arizona areas.
