USAID/Ethiopia intends to award a Child Survival and Systems Strengthening contract, referred to as Essential Services for Health in Ethiopia (ESHE) II in the regions of Amhara, Oromia and the Southern Nations, Nationalities and Peoples (SNNP). This five year procurement will support services at the primary health care level while supporting national level activities in behavior change communication and health care financing. ESHE II is USAID/Ethiopia Health, Population and Nutrition Office's principal government to government mechanism for achieving its "Improved Family Health" Strategic Objective. ESHE II contributes to the Mission's goal for food security through improved health and nutritional status of the poor and aims to achieve a more effective and accessible primary and preventive health care delivery system. The RFP will be issued on/about January 31, 2003.
