This is sources sought announcement only. The purpose of this notice is to conduct market research and obtain information from qualified potential offerors. No formal solicitation document exists at this time. The Government is not obligated to nor will it pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this sources sought synopsis request. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued. The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) Richmond, 1201 Broad Rock Blvd., Richmond, VA 23249 is seeking potential sources capable to provide on-site valet parking services to alleviate the parking problems experienced by our veteran patients at the facility. The NAICS code for this procurement is 812930, Parking Lots and Garages. Standard size is $7.0M. THIS IS NOT THE COMPLETE DESCRIPTION LIST: Requirement is for a contractor to park and/or provide assistance in parking to veteran patients with appointments as well as short term pharmacy pick-ups only, five days per week 7:30am - 6pm. Parking volume averages 500-600 cars per day. There are an ample number of parking spaces to accommodate patients, staff, volunteers and visitors on any given day, but the concern for many, especially those veterans older and infirmed, is the distance from available parking to the building and then to the clinic. Contractor must maintain an inventory of wheelchairs that are to be used by patients attending appointments. The contractor will be completely liable and responsible for ticketing, securing keys, parking, delivering, and directing certain valet vehicles to and from the valet greeting area, for the period specified in accordance with all terms, conditions, schedules, provisions, and requirements of any solicitation and/or resultant contract. Contract period will be date of award thru 09/30/2017. Responses to this sources sought notice should include the following: name and address of company, business size (large or small); identify whether or not firm falls into any of the following socioeconomic categories-8(a), HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran-Owned; provide a brief description of qualifications and any other pertinent information, which demonstrates the ability to meet the above requirement.
