THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE - THIS IS A NOTICE OF THE GOVERNMENT'S INTENT TO ISSUE A SOLE SOURCE AWARD CONTRACT TO ALASKA SAFETY, INC. FOR CHANGING OUT RADIOS, INSTALLING LIGHTS, SIRENS, AND “TRUCK VAULT” BRAND VAULTS AND DASH CAMERA KITS ON LAW ENFORCEMENT VEHICLES AS STATED BELOW.

This notice publishes the Government's intent to change out radios, purchase and install lights/sirens, “Truck Vault” brand vaults, dash cameras and decals for new Law Enforcement vehicles from Alaska Safety, Inc. under the authority of FAR Subpart 13.106(b) Soliciting from a Single Source.

The anticipated period of performance is from July 13, 2020 through September 15, 2020.

Law Enforcement and the Chugach National Forest have new vehicles that need to have radios changed out, lights/sirens/”truck vaults”/decals purchased and installed in a uniform manner to maintain consistency throughout the fleet.  All work needs to be performed in Anchorage, Alaska and allow for possible future repairs.

The Forest Service is aware of no other individual or organization, other than Alaska Safety, Inc. that carries the “truck vault” product that can meet this requirement.  However, any individual or organization who believes that it is capable of providing an equivalent service shall e-mail a capability statement to [email protected] no later than 3:00 p.m. Alaska Time on July 8, 2020.

Respondents are advised that the Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government.
