Subject: Radiosondes
The Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC), Edwards AFB intends to solicit and award a sole source, Firm-Fixed Price contract, under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, to Lockheed Martin Sippican, Inc., 7 Barnabas Rd., Marion, MA 02738. Lockheed Martin is the sole manufacturer and distributor of the required supplies that is compatible with LMG6 equipment operated by the 412 OSS Weather Flight. The NAICS code is 334519.
Contractors interested in this requirement should submit a proposal/quote in response to this request and in accordance with the FAR Part 12. The Government will consider all responses received within 15 days of the publication of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
