The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has a requirement  to secure the services of Abbott Laboratory.  The Contractor shall provide Consumables and Reagents for use with Axsym Immunology Analyzer in support of the National Center on Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities (NCBDDD)  The authority for this procurement is FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirement.  Anticipated award date is August 28, 2008.  This annoucement is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available.  Firms that believe they can provide the requirement are encouraged to identify themselves and provide written notification to the Contracting Officer within five (5) working days from the date of this announcement.  A determination not to compete this proposed action based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.  Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a future competitive procurement.  Inquiries may be sent to maria Nichols, E-mail:  [email protected],
