Scope of Work - Use: The reagents will be used for the isolation and detection of foodborne pathogens, including E. coli, Salmonella, Shigella, Campylobacter, and Listeria. As clinical laboratories move to more culture-independent testing, DLS in turn receives higher volumes each year of clinical enteric specimens, which requires DLS staff to isolate and characterize the intended pathogen to achieve the appropriate pure culture needed for whole genome sequencing (WGS). Sequencing of enteric isolates is mandatory as specified by CDC for detection and surveillance of foodborne disease outbreaks. Specifications: . Approximately 3.5 hour total time for library prep . On-bead tagmentation chemistry- critical for standardizing our protocol . Flexible DNA input amount (1-500ng) . Support a variety of sample types, including bacterial colonies, blood, saliva or dried blood spots . Ability to sequence amplicons, microbial species, human and other complex genomes . Produce consistent insert sizes and uniform coverage regardless of DNA input or genome size . Results in highly reproducible sequencing data . Indexes support at least 96 sample combinations of dual indexing . Both of these products are recommended by CDC and currently validated with other reagents and present instrumentation as part of the entire whole genome sequencing workflow used by DLS DELIVERY TO BE INCLUDED IN BID OFFER
